<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong> Your Role <br><br></strong>The Marketing Technology Strategy & Solutions team is responsible for strategic vision of the marketing technology stack, proposing and evaluating new technologies, implementing them to power best-in-class digital experiences for our customers, and managing the data that powers them . The Marketing Data Analyst, Consultant will report to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Technology . In this role you will  enable the delivery of relevant consumer experiences by successfully extracting, transforming, loading, tracking, and reporting data across the end-to-end consumer journey .<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong> Your Work<br><br></strong>In this role, you will:<br><br><ul><li> Extract, transform, load, track and report on data </li><li>Collaborate with marketing managers to define business requirements for data needs/requests using existing data sources </li><li> Ensure the quality and accuracy of data files and data load that support the delivery of engagement, retention and acquisition campaigns </li><li>Maintain dashboards with key performance metrics in digital marketing and email campaigns</li><li>Analyze results from marketing campaigns, and programs; share findings with management, and team members and recommend actions based on findings </li><li>Document business processes and improvement initiatives </li><li> Maintain dashboards with key performance metrics in digital marketing </li><li>Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively across the marketing organization </li><li>Consult on digital marketing activities such as email marketing and digital campaigns </li><li>Server as a subject matter expert to internal teams, including marketing strategy, measurement, and Email Marketing to ensure alignment of our segments with organizational goals</li><li>Consult on segment-building to support experiments, A/B tests, and pilot programs to assess the effectiveness of new marketing strategies and tools<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong> Your Knowledge and Experience <br><br></strong><ul><li>Requires an MPH, MBA, MS, MA in data analytics, science, social science, public health, health services research, business or related field, or bachelor’s degree with demonstrated equivalent work experience</li><li>Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience</li><li>Expert level with SQL and SAS data programming, other data programming skills a plus</li><li>Practical proficiency understanding of data architecture and database structures</li><li>Experience utilizing a variety of data analytics and management tools (e.g. Tableau, Adobe CJA, Looker Studio)</li><li>Skilled at managing deadlines simultaneously working on a variety of tasks, highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand data and develop insights and recommendations</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills</li><li>Superior analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Solution-oriented, resourceful, and able to take initiative to make things happen and improve processes <br><br></li></ul><strong>About The Team<br><br></strong><strong>About Blue Shield of California<br><br></strong>As of January 2025, Blue Shield of California became a subsidiary of Ascendiun.
