Read on…<br /> <br /> THE ROLE<br /> Our Technical Apparel Designer oversees creative brand collaborations as well as creating original, visually appealing, and trend-right designs that align with brand identity for a variety of clothing items. This role involves overseeing and collaborating with our freelance design teams, product developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all graphic elements are aligned with the creative direction, market trends, and customer preferences. The designer must have a strong understanding of fashion and apparel design principles, as well as a strong proficiency in industry-standard design software. This is not a remote position and is in office at least 3-4 days per week.<br /> RESPONSIBILITIES<br /> • Execute custom in-house apparel designs for Formula 1<br /> • Partner closely with collaborative brands, fashion designers, product developers, and the marketing team to integrate graphics into product lines.<br /> • Coordinate with print vendors and manufacturers to ensure high-quality execution of graphic designs on final apparel products.<br /> • Conduct research on industry trends, emerging styles, and competitors to ensure designs are fresh, relevant, and competitive in the marketplace.<br /> • Stay updated on new techniques, processes, and materials used in apparel design and printing.<br /> • Prepare detailed design tech pack specifications, including colorways, graphic placements, and size dimensions, to ensure accurate production of the designs.<br /> • Create mock-ups and tech packs to communicate design concepts to manufacturers<br /> • Communicate specifications of designs in full detail to product development and technology teams in order to send final designs to vendors or factories<br /> • To be in direct contact with vendors and factories to turn over designs and to communicate the research of new design possibilities<br /> • Conceptualize and brainstorm ideas with other Insomniac team and F1 members for the various events in racing and festivals<br /> • Work with outside designers and artist in a creative direction, capacity, and liaison<br /> • Some travel may be required (F1 Races, Factory Visits)<br /> • Train and provide support in onboarding team members, clients, vendors and partners when needed<br /> • All other projects and initiatives as identified<br /> QUALIFICATIONS<br /> • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.<br /> • Must have 8-10 years' experience in Apparel Design with a major athletic or fashion brand<br /> • Must be proficient in Adobe Suite with some Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook.<br /> • Must have strong communications skills both verbal and written and must be able to actively and attentively listen<br /> • Must be able to think through, evaluate and solve problems logically and efficiently<br /> • Must have exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail<br /> • Must conduct all matters and communications in a professional and courteous manner as a representative of the executive and the company<br /> • Must be motivated with an ''Everything is possible'' attitude<br /> • Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small<br /> WORK ENVIRONMENT<br /> • Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines<br /> • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event location<br /> • Must be able to work in open concept office space<br /> Applicants for employment in the US must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.<br /> EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY<br /> We aspire to build teams that reflect and support the fans and artists we serve.
