Reporting to the Head of U.S. Segment and Digital Marketing, you’ll influence priorities, guide execution, and ensure customer insights are embedded in everything we deliver.<br><br>What You’ll Do<br><br><ul><li>Own and evolve Principal Asset Management’s website—ensuring performance, stability, and continuous improvement of www.principalam.com.</li><li>Lead major web initiatives, including migrating legacy and regional sites into a unified digital experience.</li><li>Serve as the go-to digital expert, managing website and analytics questions, insights, and requests across the organization.</li><li>Translate business and customer needs into action, gathering requirements and partnering with digital and technology teams to prioritize and deliver enhancements.</li><li>Drive strategic growth initiatives, including user identification, journey mapping, and lead nurturing across digital channels.</li><li>Set and manage priorities, breaking down complex work into clear, value-driven roadmaps aligned with business objectives.</li><li>Collaborate and influence across teams, leveraging strong partnerships to solve problems, innovate, and deliver customer-centric solutions.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Who You Are<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>7+ years of experience in digital strategy, journey ownership, or product management.</li><li>Experienced in journey mapping, lead nurturing, and data-informed decision-making.</li><li>A strong communicator who can influence, align, and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Strategic, collaborative, and comfortable operating in complexity.</li><li>Experience in asset management or financial services, particularly with financial advisor or institutional investor audiences, is a plus.<br><br><br></li></ul>Why Principal<br><br>Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds solutions that help people and businesses achieve long-term financial security. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.<br><br><strong>Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)<br><br></strong>$104400 - $187200 / year<br><br><strong>Salary Details<br><br></strong>The following locations are examples of market-specific salary ranges across different geographies.<br><br><ul><li>Des Moines, IA: $110,200 - $148,200 / year</li><li>Charlotte, NC: $116,000 - $156,000 / year</li><li>Chicago IL / Denver, CO: $127,600 - $171,600 / year</li><li>New York City / Seattle, WA: $139,200 - $187,200 / year<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Time Off Program<br><br></strong>Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
