Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Fraud Strategy Analyst will work with Acquisitions Fraud strategy and Enterprise Fraud in developing and addressing Malicious Intent Fraud for consumer accounts. In this role you will provide analytical insights, review Daily TNF and Fraud Cases reports as well as consumer line increase reports to detect and proactively close accounts with Malicious Intent. You will work with colleagues in Acquisition Fraud Strategy and cross functionally to ensure Malicious Intent Fraud losses are well within the operating plan.

Essential Responsibilities:
Review Daily True Name Fraud (TNF) and Fraud Case/ reports as well as consumer line increase reports to detect and proactively close accounts with Malicious Intent, while continue to maintain low false-positives on account closures.
Make recommendations for tactical action plans for execution by collecting and analyzing data from various sources to identify fraud patterns and risks.
Facilitate and support the development of fraud monitoring and tracking reports/systems designed to track credit/fraudulent behavior and high risk credit segments.
Support Malicious Intent Fraud Strategy initiatives as well as enhancement projects using latest techniques and tools.
Committed to Support business initiatives.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years’ experience with data/analytics or credit/fraud in the financial services industry; in lieu of bachelor’s degree, 5+ years’ experience with data/analytics or credit/fraud in the financial services industry.
3+ years of experience in retail, business, installment loans, or private label credit.
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Criminal Justice, Business or Statistics preferred.
Experience operating at a strategic level as part of a cross functional team.
Use of advanced technical & analytical competencies in driving effective strategic goals within a significant functional area.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Experience with Fiserv, SynApps, Advance Defense, and RAMS platforms a plus.
Experience with CDCI, PDR and CLBP2 database a plus.
Grade/Level: 10
The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
