Job Title: Senior Manager, Human Resources<br> Location: Elk Grove, CA 95757<br> Industry: Food Manufacturing<br> Employment Type: Direct Hire (Onsite - No Remote)<br> Full Relocation<br> <br>Position Summary<br> The Senior Manager, Human Resources will serve as a trusted business partner and key member of the leadership team at a large, fast-paced food manufacturing facility employing approximately 370 team members. This role is responsible for driving HR strategy, developing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture that aligns with company objectives. The successful candidate will be an experienced HR leader with strong plant-level experience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.<br> <br>Key Responsibilities<br> <ul> <li>Serve as a strategic HR business partner to plant and operations leadership.</li> <li>Lead a team of two HR professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.</li> <li>Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives that align with business goals.</li> <li>Partner with leaders on staffing strategies, workforce planning, and employee retention initiatives.</li> <li>Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, onboarding, and orientation for both salaried and hourly employees.</li> <li>Manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and provide guidance to leadership on issue resolution.</li> <li>Support performance management, training, and leadership development programs in collaboration with Corporate L&OD.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with federal and California labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.</li> <li>Oversee compensation, benefits, and HRIS administration (Workday experience preferred).</li> <li>Champion continuous improvement initiatives in HR processes and organizational effectiveness.</li> <li>Develop and maintain strong relationships across departments to promote a cohesive and productive workplace.</li> <li>Organize employee engagement and recognition events to reinforce company culture and morale.</li> </ul> <br>Qualifications<br> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field required.</li> <li>10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.</li> <li>Manufacturing experience required; food manufacturing highly preferred.</li> <li>Strong HRIS skills; Workday experience preferred.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of federal and California labor laws.</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Skilled in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.</li> <li>Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving cultural and operational excellence.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.</li> </ul> <br>Compensation and Benefits<br> <ul> <li>Salary range: $160,000 - $170,000 per year</li> <li>Bonus: 10-15% annual target</li> <li>Full benefits package</li> <li>Relocation assistance available</li> </ul>
