A downtown law firm seeks a Legal Nurse Consultant to consult on legal cases on a contract basis. You should have at least ten years of experience as Legal Nurse Consultant. You must have Excel, Word, and other computer skills. This position will be mainly remote with some in office work occasionally. This position is a contract position and at year-end you will receive a 1099 form.

Summary

As a Legal Nurse Consultant in a contract position, you will leverage your nursing expertise and medical knowledge to bridge the gap between healthcare and legal matters. Reporting to the legal team, your core skills in patient care, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance will be essential in reviewing medical records and providing insights on complex cases. Your premium experience in critical care and hospital settings will enhance your ability to analyze medical information effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer skills will support your role in managing documentation and facilitating communication within the law office.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze medical records and documentation to provide insights for legal cases.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in case evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing medical findings relevant to legal matters.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all findings and communications.
  • Employ computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, for data management and reporting.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
