Role and Responsibilities:

As a Breakfast Manager, you will work with restaurant management to provide direction, training, and expertise required on every shift to exceed our customer's expectations. Your primary role is running an effective breakfast shift from start to finish, ensuring smooth operations, managing staff, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Run an effective breakfast shift from start to finish as the primary on-site leader.
  • Work with restaurant management to provide direction and training required to exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist in executing daily operational activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage and supervise breakfast shift team members, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety procedures and quality standards during breakfast service.
  • Train, develop, and mentor staff to build a high-performing breakfast team.
  • Maintain QSC (Quality, Service, Cleanliness) standards throughout the breakfast shift.
  • Complete all MBS (Making Better Shifts) Certifications.
  • Monitor and manage food, labor, and controllable costs during breakfast operations.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper opening procedures are followed, including equipment checks and inventory verification.
  • Drive sales and profitability during breakfast hours through effective operations management.
  • Coordinate with other shift managers to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing operational excellence.
  • Handle administrative tasks including shift reports, inventory counts, and documentation.
  • May be assigned other managerial and supervisory activities as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be willing to open as Breakfast Manager four days a week.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Mobility including bending, reaching, wiping, and carrying.
  • Ability to stand for long periods without a break.
  • Willingness to work shifts that include evenings and weekends.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and vehicle insurance coverage within applicable state guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing breakfast or opening shifts in a fast-paced environment.
