The Bid Room specialist will serve as a liaison between pro sales associates, merchants, and suppliers in order to process complex bids involving pricing, sourcing, and logistics. The specialist must be able to work objectively, accurately and efficiently.</p><p></p><p>This role will require weekend coverage - Wednesday - Sunday (40 hour work week)</p><p><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>70% Providing excellent customer service, processing manual bids, managing relationships with internal and external customers to maintain open communication and overall Bid Process support.</li><li>20% Communicating with suppliers, merchants, and pro sales associates. May serve as a key decision contributor on various key projects within a business function.</li><li>10% Developing, researching and identifying new opportunities to increase bid sales, process complex bids and optimize bid value.</li></ul><p><br><b>Direct Manager/Direct Reports:</b></p><ul><li>Reports to a Supervisor</li><li>This position has no direct reports.</li></ul><p><br><b>Travel Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.</li></ul><p><br><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.</li></ul><p><br><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>Located in a comfortable indoor area.
