This includes supporting communication plans, activities, delivering leadership updates, department projects, and department updates. We are recruiting for 2 People Consultants, please see the info below.<br><br><strong>HR Ops - Drug And Alcohol Team<br><br></strong><ul><li>This Consultant would be responsible for elevating the effectiveness and scalability of our Drug and Alcohol Program. This position will drive cross-functional initiatives, streamline compliance workflows, and ensure timely execution of program enhancements. By embedding project management expertise into the team, we’ll improve coordination with HR, operations, and vendors—delivering a more agile, data-driven, and employee-centered approach to safety and regulatory compliance.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compliance Administration<br><br></strong><ul><li>The Consultant on the Compliance Administration Team serves as a strategic driver of department initiatives, communications, and stakeholder alignment—ensuring our Compass remains focused on regulatory excellence. This role supports the Team responsible for all existing and previous employee records, guiding Southwest Airlines from onboarding through post-employment with accurate and confidential documentation that supports every stage of an Employee’s life. By connecting data, processes, and people, the Consultant helps minimize risk, enhance transparency, and deliver measurable impact across SWA.<br><br></li></ul>Additional details<br><br><ul><li>The culture of Southwest Airlines means we value the camaraderie, collaboration, and innovation that occurs when we come together and interact face-to-face at our vibrant Corporate Campus. characteristics.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Partner with various Customers to identify requirements while understanding changes to business processes and procedures, and help with the implementation and delivery of the initiatives</li><li>Prepare Leaders with data, background information, talking points, education, and visual materials when presenting to executives, internal stakeholders, and external partners</li><li>Partner closely with the People Strategy & Planning and Standards functions assigned to support the various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment, prioritization and proactively identify and resolve problems</li><li>Consolidate weekly reports updates from Leaders and ensure the most relevant info is shared with senior Leaders</li><li>Plan and execute large-scale meetings in alignment with Leadership expectations and priorities</li><li>Partner with Senior Leadership across the People pillar to lead various activities required in the ongoing development and delivery of strategic initiatives</li><li>Manage priorities across multiple areas and advise on timely content and channel plans that meet or exceed objectives and deliver measurable business results</li><li>Manage annual budget to ensure effective utilization of fiscal resources and partner with FP&A to report inaccuracies or make corrections to the budget</li><li>Ensure timely communication to inspire and inform Employees about cultural events, programs, and initiatives</li><li>Collaborate with and contribute to Corporate Communications initiatives and efforts to apply a consistent brand voice, deliver a thoughtful narrative to our employees (and prospective employees), and cultivate a culture of gratitude</li><li>Partner with department pillars to analyze, develop, and maintain department Companywide survey results and action plan</li><li>Collaborate with People Strategy & Planning team to develop monthly department newsletter and manage the communication tracker</li><li>Establish project governance for pillar initiatives, monitor project milestones deliverables, and assist with implementation plan and execution</li><li>May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders<br><br></li></ul><strong>Knowledge, Skills And Abilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources</li><li>Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems</li><li>Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions</li><li>Skilled in bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences</li><li>Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making</li><li>Ability to tell or recognize when something is Benefits<br><br><ul><li>Competitive market salary from $103,750 - $115,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience.
